Web249 legal
Terms and Conditions
Effective: 1 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Web249's website and your purchase of Web249 products and services. They include our payment, delivery, cancellation and refund policies.

2. Services
Web249 provides websites, domain registration and management, hosting, business email, software, artificial-intelligence systems, automation, integrations, support and related digital services. The exact scope, price and inclusions are those shown on the applicable service page, quotation, order confirmation or written agreement.
3. Website subscriptions
Web249 Launch, Business and Growth are month-to-month managed website subscriptions priced at R249, R599 and R999 per month respectively, unless a different price is clearly agreed in writing. The current inclusions for each package are shown on the website package page and confirmed during ordering. There is no setup fee and no fixed long-term contract.
Each active package includes use of a Web249-managed website, domain, hosting, SSL and the stated number of business email addresses. Optional services, premium domains, extra pages, ecommerce, additional mailboxes, specialist integrations, paid third-party services and custom work are excluded unless expressly included.
4. Ordering and customer approval
Customers must provide accurate, lawful and complete business information and must have authority to use all names, logos, images, text and other material supplied to Web249. A website preview may be supplied before payment. Approval of a preview confirms the customer's design direction and authorises Web249 to prepare the service for activation, subject to payment and domain availability.
5. Payment and recurring billing
Payments are processed securely by PayFast or another disclosed payment provider. Web249 does not store full card details. A recurring subscription authorises the payment provider to collect the agreed amount at the agreed interval until cancellation. Customers are responsible for keeping their billing and contact details current.
Failed or overdue payments may result in delayed activation or suspension of websites, hosting, email or other services after reasonable notice. Services can be restored after outstanding amounts are paid, subject to data-retention and provider rules.
6. Delivery and activation policy
Web249 supplies digital services; no physical goods are delivered. Delivery takes place electronically through WhatsApp, email, a preview link, account access or publication of the approved website.
We aim to provide the initial website preview promptly after all required business information and content have been received. Final activation begins after preview approval and successful payment. The website, domain, SSL, hosting and email services are normally activated as soon as the required provider processes are complete. Domain registration, DNS propagation, payment verification and third-party provider delays can affect timing. We will communicate a material delay and any action required from the customer.
7. Domain names
Domain availability is not guaranteed until registration succeeds. Registration and use are also subject to the relevant registry and registrar rules. Web249 may ask the customer to select an alternative if a chosen domain becomes unavailable, is restricted or infringes another party's rights. The included domain remains connected to the active Web249 service. Transfer or release is subject to all amounts due being settled and applicable registry procedures.
8. Cancellation policy
A Web249 website subscription may be cancelled at any time by sending a clear cancellation request to info@web249.com or through the official Web249 WhatsApp channel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and no further subscription payment will be collected after the cancellation has been processed.
Customers should submit a cancellation request before the next billing date. Cancelling does not automatically transfer a domain, website files, software licence, email data or third-party account. Web249 will explain available transfer or export options, costs and deadlines. Data and services may be removed after the paid period and reasonable retention window have ended.
9. Refund policy
Because Web249 supplies customised digital work and reserves hosting, domain and third-party resources, payments are generally non-refundable once the customer has approved the preview and activation or customised work has begun. This does not limit any mandatory right available under South African law.
A customer may request a correction or refund for a duplicate or incorrect charge, or where Web249 is unable to provide the paid service. Requests must be sent to info@web249.com with the customer name, order reference, payment date, amount and reason. Approved refunds are made through the original payment method where practicable and may take the payment provider's normal processing period. Amounts already paid to third parties on the customer's behalf, including registered domains, may be non-refundable where the provider does not refund Web249.
10. Cooling-off and statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Where a statutory cooling-off right applies, the customer may exercise it by sending written notice to info@web249.com within the legally prescribed period. Any refund will be handled as required by applicable law.
11. Customer content and acceptable use
Customers remain responsible for their business claims and supplied content. Services may not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory or infringing activity, malicious code, unsolicited bulk messaging or conduct that threatens systems or third parties. Web249 may suspend affected services where reasonably necessary to protect customers, providers, the public or the law.
12. Intellectual property
The customer retains rights in original content supplied by the customer and approved customer-specific branding. Web249 retains its platform, pre-existing tools, templates, source code, software, processes and know-how. The subscription provides use of the managed website and related services while the account remains active; it does not transfer Web249's platform or underlying website technology. Rights in custom deliverables are governed by the applicable quotation or written agreement. Third-party software, fonts, media and services remain subject to their own licences.
13. Support, maintenance and changes
Ongoing support covers the active service described in the order. Material redesigns, new functionality, extensive content work or third-party fees may be quoted separately. Web249 may make reasonable technical changes needed for security, reliability, compliance or compatibility, while aiming to avoid unnecessary service disruption.
14. Availability and liability
Web249 uses reputable providers and reasonable care but cannot promise uninterrupted operation of the internet, domain registries, payment platforms, messaging networks or other third-party services. To the extent permitted by law, Web249 is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Any limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, POPIA and other applicable law. Customers must ensure they have a lawful basis for personal information and content they instruct Web249 to process.
16. Complaints and disputes
Please send complaints to info@web249.com so that Web249 can attempt to resolve them promptly. These Terms are governed by South African law. Customers retain the right to approach an appropriate regulator, consumer body or court where applicable.
17. Changes to these Terms
Web249 may update these Terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated where reasonably required.
